About Your Session

:: Natural Light Photo Sessions take about 2 hours and are done in your home or at an outdoor location we have agreed on.

:: Studio Style Photo Sessions take about 4 hours from beginning to end and are done in your home. Please find a medium to large sized room where we can set up a complete studio. Furniture can be moved as needed. I will need an hour to setup my equipment and an hour to break it down. That will leave us 2 hours for your photo session.

:: Schedule your session on a day and at a time that you and your children will be relaxed and well rested.

:: Eat a light snack before the shoot.

:: Allow yourself to concentrate on the photo session by keeping a light schedule on the day of your shoot. You don’t want to feel rushed.

:: Have some favorite toys available should your children need to be distracted.

:: Have an extra person (babysitter, friend, or family member) to watch children who are waiting to be photographed or are done being photographed. This will allow you to relax and focus on the task at hand.

:: I will be taking anywhere between 50-150 images during your session. From these images I will assemble approximately 20 or more proofs for you to choose from. This varies depending on the type of photo session and the number of people being photographed.

:: Your proofs will arrive in approximately two to three weeks in the form of a Proof Portfolio.

What to Wear

:: Go with solid colors (except white) and stay away from logos, pictures, and styles that would date
your images.

:: Jewelry is fine but, lots of jewelry can be distracting.

:: If you are doing a maternity shoot wear Loose fitting clothing and avoid elastic, such as underwear
or a bra, on the day of their shoot. This will prevent strap marks and lines from appearing. I will
provide a selection of draping materials.

:: Have any clothing that you would like to use for the shoot readily available. We will go through
them and chose what will work best.

For Children

:: Stick with classic simple attire such as jeans, overalls, khakis, sun-dresses, bare feet, button down
shirts, sweaters, and solid t-shirts without pictures, logos or characters on them.

:: Remember, when choosing outfits you want the focus to be on the subjects not the clothes.
